The Real Gucci Garden

..Gucci - it is it's own culture!

When you think of what is intrinsically Italian, apart from the usual pizza and pasta another name that comes to mind is Gucci. A label that embodies the rich art, culture and history of Italy. It’s strong roots are set in Florence when the fashion was created in 1921 by the exceptional Guccio Gucci. Working in his small Florence based leather shop, Gucci might not have realised the impact his name would have in a very short period of time. Do we even need to delve into what a phenomenon Gucci has become today – it is its own culture!
Such history and culture is also captured and preserved in another place – the breathtaking Four Seasons Hotel Firenze. This hotel tranquil haven, set between two Renaissance palaces that are joined by an 11 acre walled garden. It feels as though you are walking through the centuries as majestic trees, statues, wildflowers and curving paths evoke a kind of Romantic elegance.
The botanical panorama continues throughout the interiors in the ‘Volterrano Suite’ – a magical garden dream. Flowered silk wallpaper decorated with exotic birds paint the beauty of nature outside. Quaint and delicate yet bold and detailed, this room captures everything that is Italian. Ornamental in its exquisite detail and Renaissance frescoed walls and ceilings, you can really feel the essence of Florence.
A whole lot of velvet, striking colour and a blooms, this room is like a real Gucci Garden (no pun intended). This room reflects echoes Gucci in all its elements. The perfect match and we are ready to immerse in this flora world.
